Marissa and Brent started Building Más with a personal vision. To build a location independent life fueled by passion and financial independence. Marissa brings decades of experience in real estate and finance. Brent likewise brings his skill and knowledge in design and process management. Combining Marissa’s strategic mindset and Brent’s go-getter personality, they’ve successfully built their own Scandinavian inspired four story dream home, run several rental properties, and are the co-founders of More. Better. Good. — a real estate investment team with a whole lot of heart.
They spend several months out of the year connecting with Marissa’s roots and family in various parts of Mexico, and are currently seeking out investment opportunities in the Southwestern US and Pacific Northwest.

Around town, Marissa in involved in two professional women’s organizations. Women in Insurance and Financial Services (WIFS), and Women’s Council of Realtors (WCR), as well as the Portland Metropolitan Association of Realtors as an active volunteer.
Marissa spends her time giving back to the community and advocating for home ownership through these organizations. You will also find her at the many Portland music events and taking advantage of all the outdoor activities Oregon has to offer.

Brent's multifaceted career, experiences, and passions-turned-profession have made him an unmatched partner in Building Más.
Brent carries with him a lifetime of experience — with a background in Economics, Brent has made his mark on globally recognized corporations including Microsoft, AECOM, Intel, Turner & Townsend, as well as the Department of Defense. Brent has worked as a construction project manager for both government-owned and private organizations. When he had put in his hours and was ready to leave the "corporate grind" behind, he invested everything into his passion for cars, construction, and design. His beloved 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser sparked the idea of buying, restoring and selling imported and vintage cars, and resulted in the launch of Cascade Overland Imports.
Now, Brent finds joy in building a brand grounded in his creative passions, alongside his wife, Marissa.
